Marking the 20th Anniversary of the shipping world’s biggest awards event, guests were welcomed by Greek Deputy Minister of Shipping and Island Policy, Ioannis Pappas, who was representing Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakiswas. The BMA would like to recognise the success of the 2023 award winners as well as the nominees in each category. The Authority sends its congratulations to the following award-winning clients who have ships registered with The Bahamas: Evalend Shipping – News Maker of the Year; Diana Shipping – Dry Cargo Company of the Year; and Tsakos Energy Navigation – Tanker company of the Year. Over the course of the previous two decades, more than 300 individuals, companies and organisations have received the white and blue marble trophies synonymous with the event, and The BMA is honoured that so many of them are strategic partners who have chosen The Bahamas as a quality flag with which to register the ships they own, operate and/or manage.
