Grand Bahama students who are in the 12th grade and participate as part of the Bahamas Maritime Cadet Corps took time during their mid-term break to visit industrial sites which are involved in the maritime industry. The sites included the Grand Bahama Ship Yard and Bradford Marine, where both establishments are engaged in ship repair. The Bahamas Maritime Cadet Corps is a programme which is open to high school students in grades 10 – 12 and which seeks to expose students to various aspects of the industry with a view to encouraging them to consider it as a viable career option.
