High Commissioner and BMA Director Presents IMO Assessed Contribution Category BMA News Date Posted 06 February 2015 Share Facebook Twitter LinkedIn The Bahamas presented its annual assessment contribution to The International Maritime Organisation on Friday, 30th January, 2015 at the headquarters in London, England. High Commissioner and Permanent Representative to the IMO, His Excellency Eldred Bethel and Director of The Bahamas Maritime Authority Commodore Davy Rolle paid a courtesy call on Secretary-General of The International Maritime Organization, Mr. Koji Sekimizu. The High Commissioner and BMA Director presented the Secretary-General with The Bahamas’ assessed contribution to the IMO for the year 2015. As one of the world’s leading Ship Registers, The Bahamas’ annual assessed contribution is in excess of one million pounds placing The Bahamas among the largest of contributors to the IMO. The Secretary-General thanked them both for the constructive role that The Bahamas has played and continues to play at IMO and The Government for their support, in being among one of the first Member States every year to pay their contribution in full.
