The BMA’s Regional Director for Asia, Capt. Jahangir Hussain, was invited to join the distinguished line-up of speakers, delivering a formal presentation on behalf of The BMA, and then later taking part in a Q&A session answering questions from the audience. The seminar is an annual event attended by over 200 delegates from all strata of the local shipping industry. This year marked the first time The BMA participated. The BMA’s Capt. Hussain gave a presentation entitled, “The Bahamas Registry’s Quality and Standards.’” It was a wonderful opportunity to introduce The Bahamas Registry to the many participants who welcomed The Bahamas’ involvement in the seminar with open arms. The BMA is grateful to the CCS for inviting us to engage in this prestigious event, which also gave us the opportunity to connect with both the Guangdong Shipowners Association and broader industry stakeholders in general. Our participation will pave the way for The BMA to have wider access to the Chinese shipping industry in the near future.
