BMA delegation reinforces relationships with clients in Shanghai

The BMA team has been in Shanghai, China for a promotional week running from 20th to 24th March.   The delegation was led by The BMA’s Regional Director for Asia Region, Capt Jahangir Hussain. 

It was a busy week with meetings arranged with many high-profile companies from sectors including banking, ship finance and ship management as well as owners of a diverse range of vessels such as gas carriers, tankers, bulk carriers, and general cargo ships.  Meetings were also held with high officials of crew management companies and training providers, such as state-owned Shanghai Huayang Maritime and NU Academy. 

On the final day, a meeting with the Director and other senior managers of the Class NK Shanghai team was held to discuss collaboration on issues of mutual interest in China.

The BMA delegation had successful meetings with both existing and potential clients in China.  The promotional week will significantly contribute to The BMA’s strategic objective to strengthen and enhance relationships with the Chinese Shipping Industry.
