BMA at Nor-Shipping 2019 Category BMA News Date Posted 18 June 2019 Share Facebook Twitter LinkedIn The Bahamas Maritime Authority (BMA) attended Nor-Shipping 2019 , Marine Money (Oslo) and Tradewinds Shipowners Oslo Forum over the period 04 – 07 June 2019 in Olso and Lillestrom, Norway. With over 220 conferences and events covering a number of key maritime issues ranging from the environmental areas of decarbonisation, green financing, alternative fuels, renewables, cyber security to gender equality, Nor-Shipping provided an effective platform for the BMA to review technologies and systems, consider maritime services and solutions and to give the BMA an opportunity to network and engage in proactive discussions with a broader spectrum of industry stakeholders. With the 21st Annual Marine Money Forum, which focused on Offshore Financing and the inaugural Tradewinds Shipowners (Olso) Forum running in parallel with Nor-Shipping, these events further extended the opportunity to collaborate, share experiences and expand on the BMA’s quality service offering with Norwegian and globally based maritime representatives. The BMA delegation comprised of Captain Dwain Hutchinson (Managing Director & CEO), Carolyn Moree (Deputy Director & Registrar), Stephen Keenan (Deputy Director-Inspection & Survey) and Leon Dorsett (Deputy Director-Finance, IT & Office Management)
