Bahamas’ promotional activities in Imabari Category BMA News Date Posted 01 July 2019 Share Facebook Twitter LinkedIn The BMA conducted a week of promotional activities in Imabari, which is the second largest regional shipping hub in Japan. The promotional week involved meetings with the shipowners and local industry stakeholders with the activities concluding with a seminar on 25th June aligning with the “International Day of the Seafarer”. The seminar was attended by the representatives of Government authorities/MLIT, Class Societies, Shipowners, Ship Managers, Shipbuilders, Media and financial institutions. The BMA delegation was led by Captain Jahangir Hussain Regional Director who was joined by BMA Japan Branch Manager Atsushi Magaino, BMA Japan Registrar Juanita Butler and BMA’s Chie Funda. The participants were provided guidance and information on the BMA’s quality service and updates in regulatory matters. Capt. Hussain expressed appreciation for the industry’s support and further he welcomed the opportunity for the BMA to build and strengthen its relationship with the Japanese maritime community.
