The theme of the webinar is “Vessel compliance in the current and post COVID-19 world”. Stephen Keenan, The BMA’s Deputy Director, Inspections & Surveys Department, will be representing The BMA on the panel. COVID is having a very significant impact on the maritime industry and many accepted practices may need to evolve to meet existing requirements. Although vessel surveys and audits may have been happening remotely to a very small degree, this is currently a necessity to allow for vessel compliance. Stephen will be looking at the changes that have already occurred and discussing what may happen in the future. Stephen will be joining Eva Peňo from Bureau Veritas, Stephen Birt from TechnipFMC and Olav Eftedal from Equinor on the panel which will be chaired by Pawel Panka, and moderated by Nick Hough. The webinar will provide delegates with the opportunity to understand how the issue of vessel compliance is being addressed by a class, flag state, operator and medical point of view.
